Colophon Heavyweight Crewneck
Every book I bind gets a tiny paper ticket tucked inside the cover: my binder’s mark. It’s Piero on his hind legs reaching for a gold star, tangled up in oak leaves and acorns, with Ex Officina Ligatoria along the bottom. That’s Latin for “from the bindery workshop,” the old-school way binders signed their work. On this crewneck, it sits on the left chest just like a ticket in the corner of a book, so you’re basically a signed edition. 📖
The ticket is printed in all Antique Gold on Black, or all Bindery Green on Sand. This is a seriously heavyweight sweatshirt: thick, brushed fleece that’s soft on the inside and holds its shape on the outside, with a relaxed fit and dropped shoulders. It’s made for Montana winters, drafty libraries, and long nights at the bench (or on the couch with a book, no judgment).
Colors: Black (gold print) and Sand (green print)
The details:
Binder’s ticket print on the left chest
80% organic combed ring-spun cotton, 20% recycled polyester
Brushed 3-end fleece with a 100% organic cotton face
Heavyweight 15 oz/yd² (500 g/m²) fabric
100% cotton 1x1 rib at the collar, cuffs, and hem, with no elastane
Twin-needle topstitching at the hem, cuffs, and armholes so it holds up
Care: Wash cold and inside out, tumble dry low or hang to dry, and don’t iron over the print.
